The SYL Conference is a unique annual meeting for students and young lawyers (SYL), connecting the Christian faith with law, building Christian friendships within the legal world, and preparing delegates for living and working with Christ-centred purpose. This weekend away provides an exceptional opportunity to meet and network with other Christians in law at varying stages of their careers. Come along and get involved!
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12.2 ESV
Paul warns us that the "world system" - the manner of thinking and acting that is in rebellion against God - will try to conform us to its ungodly pattern, and that process must be resisted. What are the patterns of this world, present in our legal culture, that we should resist? And what does this non-conformity look like for lawyers?
From Friday evening 24th February to Sunday lunchtime 26th February 2023, we will consider “Metanoia: Conformity and Transformation in the legal world". The Conference will take place at Frontier Centre in Northamptonshire.
The programme will also give you the chance to hear from leading firms about opportunities and top tips to start or advance your career in law.
Join us for a weekend of teaching, fellowship and fun.
